ABOUT YOU We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences to join our engineering team in Kuala Lumpur. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to build modern, scalable frontend interfaces and backend systems that deliver seamless experiences for game developers and players worldwide. Strong proficiency in PHP, React and TypeScript is essential, along with deep expertise in modern JavaScript, responsive design, and frontend architecture. You should be equally comfortable crafting modern, responsive UIs with Next.js and TypeScript as you are designing robust, scalable backend services with PHP and Yii. You'll work across the stack, collaborating with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver features from database to pixel. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP.
• Build modern, responsive web interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Translate product designs and user stories into high-quality, functional features end-to-end.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code across the full stack.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Implement effective state management strategies and integrate frontend with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and UX inconsistencies across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Contribute to planning, estimation, and delivery tracking of new features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PHP.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React, and TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of modern PHP and experience working with frameworks like Yii.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript/ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and Web APIs.
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile collaboration tools.
• Comfortable writing tests — unit, integration, and end-to-end (e.g., PHPUnit, Jest, Cypress).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with other PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Familiarity with design systems and scalable component architectures.
• Experience integrating third-party services (payment gateways, SSO, OAuth2).
• Understanding of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached) and queue systems.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with SSR/SSG and hybrid rendering strategies in Next.js.
• Experience with Headless CMS (e.g., Strapi, PayloadCMS, Contentful).
• Experience working in distributed teams across time zones.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
