Byte Technology is hiring a National Account Sales Manager to help grow our business with foodservice operators and self-operated dining programs.


This role is for someone who already knows the foodservice world. The best fit is likely coming from an operator such as Aramark, Compass, Sodexo, Thomas Cuisine, Elior, Morrison, AVI, or a similar organization - ideally in a district, regional, operations, or business development role. If you have personally managed accounts, units, client relationships, and P&L responsibility, and you understand how operators evaluate new revenue streams, this role would be perfect for you.

Byte provides smart unattended retail solutions that help foodservice teams offer fresh and frozen food, snacks, beverages, and grab-and-go meals 24/7. Our platform combines smart fridges, freezers, ambient kiosks, and software to help operators launch and scale modern retail programs in hospitals, universities, and workplaces.


What this role is responsible for

- Win new business with foodservice operators and self-operated organizations

- Build relationships with decision-makers at contract foodservice companies and enterprise dining programs

- Identify where Byte fits inside an operator’s portfolio and create a clear rollout path

- Run the full sales process from first conversation through signed agreement

- Translate field and operator needs back to leadership, product, and operations

- Help Byte strengthen its go-to-market approach within healthcare, higher education, and workplace dining


Who we’re really looking for:

We’re specifically looking for someone with real foodservice operator experience.


Strong candidates will likely have experience with:

- District Manager, Regional Manager, VP, or Director-level experience at a contract foodservice operator

- Business development or strategic growth responsibility within Aramark, Compass, Sodexo, Thomas Cuisine, Elior, Morrison, AVI, or similar companies

- Experience overseeing multi-site dining, retail, vending, micro market, or patient / campus / workplace food programs

- Direct understanding of how operators think about labor, margin, client retention, implementation, and revenue per location

- Existing relationships in healthcare, higher education, or workplace dining


This is not a generalist SaaS sales role. We are not looking for someone who only knows software sales but has never worked with operator economics, dining services, or multi-site foodservice execution.


Key responsibilities

- Own a pipeline of qualified opportunities across contract foodservice operators and self-operated accounts

- Prospect, network, and open doors with the right operator and dining leaders

- Build business cases that show how Byte can drive revenue, improve guest experience, and expand service hours

- Manage sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across operations, finance, procurement, and executive leadership

- Negotiate commercial terms and close agreements

- Partner closely with internal teams to ensure sold opportunities can be implemented successfully

- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline discipline, and account strategy


Required experience

- 5+ years of experience in foodservice, dining operations, or B2B sales tied directly to foodservice operators

- Meaningful experience at a major or mid-market contract foodservice company, or selling into that world with a strong track record

- Proven ability to influence and sell in multi-location, multi-stakeholder environments

- Strong understanding of operator decision-making, unit economics, and field operations

- Experience building relationships with senior leaders and translating operational needs into commercial opportunities

- Comfortable operating independently and helping shape strategy in a growing company


Preferred experience


- Operator-side leadership experience in healthcare, higher education, or workplace dining

- Experience with unattended retail, micro markets, vending, or food technology

- Experience selling hardware + software, capital equipment, or operational solutions

- Existing relationships with regional and national foodservice operators
