What You Will Work On
Your mission
Build the living digital representation of a manufacturer's entire product lifecycle: a system that is always current, always connected, fully programmable by humans and agents alike, and designed to serve as the authoritative source of truth not just for internal teams but for the EU's entire Digital Product Passport infrastructure.
We don’t think about our backend as a system that serves a frontend. We think of it as a structured, event-driven, compliance-grade model of a product's reality that any consumer (UI, API, agent, ERP, BIM tool, regulator) can interact with.
In the first 6 months, you will
- Contribute to building the data foundation that powers how manufacturers capture, connect, and act on their production lifecycle. This is meaningful infrastructure work with guidance from the senior engineers on the decisions that have long-term consequences.
- Implement integrations with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), PIM systems, and supplier databases
- Build against an API surface designed to serve multiple consumers (a frontend, an AI agent, third-party platforms) and join cross-functional conversations with designers, LCA experts, and customer success to understand how manufacturing workflows become software requirements. You'll progressively take on more of that translation work yourself.
- Improve how we build: invest in tooling, processes, and abstractions that multiply the team's output
- Take full ownership over projects: execute on given requirements, and drive delivery

- Experience working with or integrating ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) to extract and synchronise data (e.g manufacturing or supply chain data).
- Domain knowledge or professional exposure to adjacent sectors, such as Climate/Sustainability, Construction Tech, or Manufacturing
- Hands-on familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure practices, including Infrastructure as Code (e.g., OpenTofu), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and defining automated deployment pipelines
