About Paymend

Paymend is a payments platform focused on recovering failed transactions and unlocking lost revenue for online merchants.

We operate at the end of the payment lifecycle, working alongside existing PSPs, gateways, and billing platforms to recover transactions that would otherwise be lost.

Through our infrastructure and payment routing capabilities, we help merchants:

  • Recover 5–20% of declined revenue
  • Increase approval rates
  • Improve LTV without changing their checkout

We’ve processed over $1B+ in failed payments, supporting leading merchants across eCommerce, subscription, and digital verticals.


About the Role

We are hiring an Account Executive to drive new revenue and support the next phase of Paymend’s growth. This role combines:

  • Outbound pipeline generation
  • Full-cycle sales ownership

You will own the full commercial process; from creating opportunities through to closing deals, operating with a high level of ownership and accountability.

While remote, this position must be based in the US, Eastern timezone.


Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Generation

  • Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound activity
  • Target merchants aligned to Paymend’s ICP
  • Execute multi-channel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, events)
  • Work closely with SDRs to maximise pipeline quality

Full-Cycle Sales

  • Own deals from discovery through to close
  • Run structured, commercial conversations with senior stakeholders
  • Position Paymend as a revenue-driving solution (not a replacement)

Commercial Ownership

  • Build ROI-driven business cases
  • Navigate multiple stakeholders (payments, finance, operations)
  • Drive deal momentum and manage the full sales process

Pipeline & Forecasting

  • Maintain consistent pipeline aligned to targets
  • Ensure accurate CRM tracking and forecasting
  • Provide clear visibility on deal progression


Key Requirements

  • 5-7+ years experience in B2B sales (fintech, payments, SaaS preferred)
  • Strong outbound and prospecting capability
  • Ability to run discovery and manage full sales cycles
  • Commercial mindset with focus on revenue, not just activity
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
