About ByFood

ByFood.com is Japan’s rapidly expanding one-stop platform for foodie travelers. We are seeking new team members excited to be a part of growing our international company. ByFood won the 3rd UNWTO Gastronomy Tourism Startup Competition and other prestigious awards in recognition of our unique approach to accessible and sustainable tourism.

On byFood, users can book food experiences through our site, like cooking classes and food tours, and make easy restaurant reservations without using Japanese. We aim to connect with travelers through every part of their experience, from the early planning stages to the trip itself, and maintain a connection long after they have returned home.

In addition, for every experience booking or restaurant reservation placed on the platform, byFood donates school meals to children in need through the Food for Happiness program. So far, over 610K donations have been made through this initiative.


Position

We are seeking a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of our marketing strategy. This includes paid advertising, customer relationship management (CRM), social media, affiliate marketing, and influencer partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2C marketing in platform businesses, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.


Responsibilities

・Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.

・Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across various platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

・Oversee CRM strategies to improve customer retention and engagement.

・Lead social media efforts to enhance our online presence and engage with our audience.

・Establish and manage affiliate marketing programs to increase sales and partnerships.

・Collaborate with influencers to create authentic and impactful marketing content.

・Analyze marketing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

・Work closely with the sales and product teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.

・Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure ByFood.com remains competitive.

・Define and lead the company’s SEO strategy, ensuring continuous improvements in organic acquisition, technical performance, and search engine visibility across all key markets.

・Drive brand strategy and governance, strengthening ByFood.com’s brand positioning through consistent messaging, cohesive visual identity, and long-term brand-building initiatives.

・Oversee and scale YouTube as a core growth channel, leading content strategy, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate audience growth and engagement.


Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on B2C marketing.
  • Proven experience in managing paid advertising campaigns and CRM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and strategies.
  • Experience with affiliate marketing and influencer partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
