Wholesale Marketing Manager, Asset Management

This role is part of the Asset Management Marketing & Client Experience team and while the role primarily supports Wholesale Marketing, he / she will be required to work across the spectrum of propositions and products in the HSBC Asset Management business, as required.
Key Responsibilities In This Role Are
- Undertake planning, development and management of marketing strategies aimed at driving fund inflow for the wholesale segment in Japan
- Plan and execute campaigns utilising traditional, social and digital media, events, partnerships, collaterals, etc. to raise the profile of HSBC AM with an aim to grow the AuM
- Work closely with the wholesale sales team to understand and fulfil needs of the investment trust distributors and indiviual investors, and deliver marketing campaigns, initiatives and content targeting those clients
- Develop and deliver digital communication strategies in a highly regulated environment through innovative thinking
- Establish collaborative relationships with various internal stakeholders including - Investment, Compliance, Global and Regional Product Marketing, Marketing Delivery, Product Development etc. to ensure marketing initiatives are delivered in a smooth and timely manner
- Keep a strong understanding of the market by tracking and analysing competitors’ activities as well as industry trends
- Manage, track and report the costs, efficiencies and ROI of marketing activities
- Manage external vendors such as creative agencies and production houses
- Ensure Global Standards, core process and procedures are followed and monitored, and global and local compliance and audit requirements are fully met
- University graduate
- At least 5 years’ marketing experience in a financial institution, preferably an asset management company with strong presence in the retail investment trust market
- Credible experience delivering campaigns and projects across the marketing mix (ATL, BTL, digital, events, etc.)
- Strong understanding of the local regulations, client profiles and competitive landscape
- In-depth knowledge of financial terminology and understanding of asset management concepts and industry
- Excellent communication skills. Native-level Japanese language proficiency and business-level English language proficiency
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with teams of different backgrounds
- Strong project management skills - deadline and detailed-oriented
- Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills. Experience in digital communications such as website, SNS a plus.
