Software Engineer III, Google Compute Engine, Fleet Management

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++, Java, Python, or Go programming languages.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (i.e., Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of C++ and Go.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust, scalable, and efficient software components for our Google Cloud-based platforms, primarily within the GCE Node organization.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Contribute to the architectural design and technical direction of our systems within the evolving Google Cloud ecosystem.
