About Your New Job

We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Lead to drive the remediation, support, and modernisation of critical legacy systems while leading the transition toward modern cloud-based platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role combining hands-on technical delivery with team leadership and transformation ownership.

You will lead technical workstreams across multiple engineering teams, ensuring stability of existing platforms while delivering modern microservices, APIs, and new integrations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to prioritise change, reduce risk, and ensure seamless migration with minimal disruption to users.

What Skills You Need

• Strong hands-on experience as a Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, or Solutions Lead
• 5+ years’ experience with AWS serverless technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, DynamoDB / DocumentDB, and Aurora PostgreSQL
• Strong experience leading cloud-native microservices architectures
• Hands-on development background with Node.js and/or Java Spring Boot
• Experience leading engineering teams across multiple workstreams
• Strong experience modernising legacy systems through refactoring, re-platforming, and API integration
• Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and scalable backend systems
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, coding standards, testing, and release management
• Proven ability to balance production stability with transformation delivery
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Experience within insurance or financial services environments
• Experience with data lakes, MDM/RDM integrations, or enterprise data platforms
• Exposure to regulatory or highly governed environments
• Experience managing multi-country transformation programmes
