Contract - Initial 6-12 Months

My client, a multinational professional services firm is on the lookout for a SharePoint Front End Developer on an initial 6-12 month contract with view for continuous extension.

The Job:

• Design, develop, and enhance custom SharePoint solutions and applications in On-Premises environments
• Build modern, responsive front-end interfaces and custom components for SharePoint using Angular and other JavaScript frameworks
• Develop and customize SharePoint features including lists, forms, content types, and user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, CSS, and modern UI libraries
• Create and maintain SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions and provider-hosted applications
• Develop C# components and class libraries to extend SharePoint Client Object Model (CSOM) functionality
• Implement event handlers, integrations with third-party APIs, SQL databases, and backend services
• Lead large-scale SharePoint migrations and modernisation initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality applications
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, UAT support, and adherence to Microsoft best practices
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Have You:

• Strong experience in SharePoint development across multiple versions (particularly 2016/2019 On-Premises)
• Advanced front-end development skills with Angular (or similar modern frameworks), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and responsive design
• Hands-on expertise with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), CSOM, JS Link, Office Fabric UI, and Vue.js
• Experience building C#/.NET components and integrating with REST APIs, SQL, and external systems
• Proven track record in SharePoint migrations, custom forms, event receivers, and provider-hosted apps
• Solid understanding of PowerShell, PowerApps, and modern web technologies
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Experience mentoring junior team members and maintaining high code quality standards
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Desirable:

• Exposure to Java/Spring frameworks
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
• Microsoft SharePoint certifications
