Software Engineer

The Role

• Define and drive the long-term technical strategy and distributed systems architecture across multiple engineering teams.
• Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable back-end services using Java and modern cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Establish and evangelise engineering excellence standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices to boost developer productivity.
• Act as a primary technical bridge between senior leadership, product owners, and architects to align technology with business outcomes.
• Proactively manage technical debt and guide complex incident resolution across diverse technical domains.

• Expert-level proficiency in Java and professional experience building robust, high-throughput distributed architectures.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS, including infrastructure-as-code and serverless patterns.
• Proven track record of leading multi-team technical initiatives and influencing engineering culture without direct authority.
• Strong background in system design, Microservices, and maintaining high service quality standards in a DevOps environment.
• Ability to steer Communities of Practice and mentor mid-to-senior level engineers to foster continuous technical growth.
