Backend Java Developer

Hybrid | 2 Days per Month in London
6-Month Initial Contract | £700–£900 per day Inside IR35

Our client is looking for experienced Senior Java Backend Engineers to join high-performing engineering squads working on modern, cloud-native platforms. They’re looking for strong backend engineers with deep technical expertise across event-driven systems, microservices, and scalable cloud architectures. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to candidates who enjoy building robust systems, contributing to architecture decisions, and writing high-quality, testable code.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong Java backend engineering experience
• Kafka / event-driven architecture expertise
• Microservices architecture experience
• Cloud-native development background
• Experience with Micronaut framework
• Strong focus on system design and engineering best practices
• Comfortable writing automated tests and contributing to quality engineering standards
