Position Responsibilities
- Lead the servicing of a designated book of business related to renewal, marketing, and client service.
- Manage client engagements and projects; identify and secure resources, manage client and stakeholder expectations, and proactively understand client requirements and needs.
- Provide strategic planning and consulting advice, including producing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), coordinating vendor responses, analyzing and comparing RFP responses, preparing & presenting client reports with recommendations.
- Interpret and evaluate plan offerings to ensure adequate coverage for clients’ identified risk tolerance.
- Influence client strategic and tactical direction and decision-making processes.
- Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and tasks, and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Demonstrate exceptional ability to build and maintain client relationships and strong working relationships with carriers, broker servicing networks, and other providers.
- Maintain an understanding of industry trends, product development, and governmental compliance and regulations to educate clients.
- Oversee the development of financial models, provide interpretation and implications of analysis, and offer recommendations.
- Oversee open enrollment communications and renewal implementation.
- Oversee benefit benchmarking studies, design plan comparison reports, and client marketing materials.
- Mentor and train junior-level staff.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- 5 or more years of employee benefits client services experience.
- Strong working knowledge of group benefits, services, programs, and elements of marketing lines of coverage.
- Strong working knowledge of differing financial arrangements and products available to clients, with the ability to perform and analyze renewal projections for fully insured and self-funded clients.
- Understanding of industry trends and governmental regulations.
- Personal presence to interface with top management of other businesses, representing the company in a professional and ethical manner.
- Demonstrates professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed.
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information.
- Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft.
- Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
