Job Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) serves as a key liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams, playing a vital role in driving organizational growth. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with potential referral sources and partners, and supporting overall market expansion efforts within the behavioral health space.
While this is a remote position, candidates must reside in Middle or East Tennessee, with a strong preference for those located in East Tennessee, to support regional relationship-building and market presence.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Present our company to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
- Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
- BA degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field Knowledge of social and cultural influences that impact mental health
- Maintain all licenses and certifications as required of the position
- Treat others with respect, inspire trust in your work, and uphold organization mission, values, and vision
- Proficient in the English language, both in writing and speaking and able to communicate clearly to staff, clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
