Software Engineer

GHCO is one of the fastest-growing liquidity providers specialising in exchange traded funds (ETFs). We strive to create more transparent and accessible financial markets for all types of investors. We make ETFs accessible in worldwide by focusing on intelligent algorithmic trading, building a reliable market presence, and cultivating the expertise to price a wide range of products. We are a small team of expert traders and software engineers looking for bright, kind and passionate people who have an interest in advancing the state of the art in algorithmic trading. We are building a team with diverse perspectives, skills, passions and backgrounds.
GHCO takes a holistic and collaborative approach to solving the firm’s core business problems. You won’t just write and review code – you’ll have responsibilities ranging from designing and implementing the software solutions and deliverables, and for communicating these decisions effectively and clearly.
Experience
YOUR SKILLS AND
- 3-5 years experience with JavaFunctional programming experience is a bonus, we're also planning to use Rust in the next 3-6months
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres)
- Familiarity with developing, testing, or deploying with a Cloud Server Provider (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience using version control software (e.g. git)
- Strong programming ability and testing mindset

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER
You will
be responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of our trading systems. You will get involved in the trading and strategy development as well as improving our newly-built applications, thinking deeply about user and market interactions.
Here are some of the projects you could be working on:
- pricing and hedging models
- trading risk and position monitoring
- trading and strategy user interfaces
- strategy configuration process
- underlying high frequency automated trading platform
