Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) - Porto Portugal

This role: You'd join our client's team directly as their employee. We handle recruitment, they handle everything else.

The project

A company at the centre of the EV mobility revolution — building the backend infrastructure powering electric vehicle charging, payments, and ticketing systems. Fast-paced, R&D-driven, mission with actual meaning.

You'll work on microservices architecture deployed on AWS, integrating with payment providers, third-party APIs, and ticketing platforms. Clean code, real ownership, Agile team.

Stack: Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Docker, AWS, REST APIs, Linux

Location: 3 days on-site per week in Matosinhos office

Compensation: €2,500 – €4,500/month gross, depending on experience and seniority level.

What they need

• Solid Node.js backend experience (async patterns, memory management, event loop — you know it cold)
• SQL + NoSQL (MongoDB specifically)
• Comfortable on the *NIX command line
• Degree in CS, Informatics or similar (mandatory)
• English B2+

Nice to have: TypeScript, microservices, payment/ticketing integrations, Docker, AWS
