Business Development Manager – Japan


Retail Technology | High-Growth International Company

Are you a commercially driven sales professional who knows how to win new business and grow revenue in Japan?


We’re hiring a Business Development Manager to focus on the Japanese market—building relationships with major retail customers and driving significant revenue growth across innovative product solutions.


This is not an account management role.

This is about opening doors, closing deals, and building a market.


What you’ll be doing

  • Own and deliver revenue growth in Japan
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy
  • Build relationships with major retail chains and key decision-makers
  • Identify and close new business opportunities (€100K–€2M deals)
  • Launch and grow new product lines
  • Work closely with global teams across sales, product, and operations
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitors, and customer needs


What we’re looking for

  • 4 - 8 years of experience in B2B sales / business development
  • Proven track record of winning new business and hitting targets
  • Experience selling into retail (100+ store networks)
  • Strong commercial mindset — hunter, not a farmer
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth environment
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Fluent English (Japanese is a strong advantage)
