About the Role
We’re partnering with a technology‑forward, nationally operating organization within the legal services space to add a Mid‑Level AI Engineer to its growing engineering team. This role will play a key part in building and scaling AI‑powered systems that support internal operations and product‑driven initiatives.
You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operational stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver intelligent solutions with measurable business impact.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain AI‑driven tools and automation workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Develop and support LLM and RAG pipeline architectures for document processing and information retrieval
- Fine‑tune, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models for real‑world business use cases
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing applications using APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, and similar platforms)
- Build and maintain data pipelines to support model training, deployment, and inference
- Partner cross‑functionally with product managers, engineers, and operations teams to scope and deliver AI initiatives
- Monitor model performance in production and continuously improve quality, reliability, and scalability
- Document system architecture, APIs, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or a closely related software engineering role
- Strong Python proficiency, including hands‑on experience with machine learning frameworks and tooling
- Practical experience working with large language model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Solid SQL skills and experience building or maintaining data pipelines
- Proven ability to take AI projects from prototype through production
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fully remote environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, etc.)
- Background in legal tech, document‑heavy workflows, or regulated industries
- Experience with model fine‑tuning and evaluation pipelines
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000.
