Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
- Territory coverage includes the U.S.; candidates should live near a major airport and be comfortable with up to 70% travel.
- 5+ years of experience managing National Account territory, including hiring, performance management, and training of National Account Manager professionals.
- 3+ years of management experience.
- Experience using Salesforce, Tableau and Microsoft Office Suite.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
- Leads a team of National Account Managers to drive profitable sales through the National Accounts sales channels while leading individual team members in developing strategic business plans and exceeding sales goals.
- Oversees contract negotiations and mediation, while implementing price management strategies and conducting marketing strategy sessions.
- Conducts territory reviews and implements new strategies to enhance sales performance, drive profitability, and identify growth opportunities, integrating sales pipeline processes to streamline operations and drive corporate initiatives.
- Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for effective communication, streamlined account set up, and optimized account success rates.
- Collaborates with various internal departments to drive sales and ensure support framework to facilitate National Account agreements.
- Identifies and communicates new sales opportunities and targets more profitable business, while maintaining relationships with the organization's largest customers and local sales teams.
- Develops and mentors National Account Managers to maximize internal growth opportunities.
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
- Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
