Elevate Partners are currently partnered with a leading investment management organisation seeking to appoint a Senior Investment Data Engineer to join their expanding data and analytics function.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data engineering professional with a strong background operating within investment management, asset management, banking, or wider financial services environments.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines and analytical data platforms
  • Build and optimise robust data models supporting investment analytics, reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with investment, analytics, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes across multiple internal and external data sources
  • Support the development of data governance, reconciliation, monitoring, and data quality frameworks
  • Deliver high-quality, analytics-ready datasets to support reporting and investment decision-making
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, platform optimisation, and best practice development across the data environment
  • Support CI/CD, automation, observability, and operational excellence initiatives within the data engineering function


Requirements


  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related disciplines
  • Strong experience working within investment management, banking, financial services, or regulated environments
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or similar technologies
  • Experience designing and supporting scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data models
  • Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, auditability, monitoring, and data quality frameworks
  • Experience working with orchestration and transformation tools such as dbt, Airflow, Glue, or similar technologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill
