About The Role
The Technical Account Manager independently owns and drives technical engagement for strategic customer accounts across multiple technology domains. This role operates at a broader portfolio and organizational level, leading cross-functional programs that expand adoption, defend installed base, and accelerate growth.
As a TAM, you are a key technical leader for your accounts—shaping solutions, influencing stakeholders, and mentoring others while delivering strong customer outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Own technical relationships at the divisional and portfolio level within assigned strategic accounts
- Identify customer business and technical challenges, emerging needs, and growth opportunities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Technical Sales, and Portfolio Units
- Plan and execute technical programs that drive adoption, expansion, and competitive displacement
- Monitor customer satisfaction and lead corrective actions when issues arise
- Develop and manage opportunity and technical account plans with limited supervision
- Advocate for customer requirements internally at the Regional and Flow Technical Director levels
- Initiate and lead collaborative initiatives with portfolio and factory organizations
- Mentor and coach junior TAMs and partner with Account Managers on technical strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant EDA or semiconductor industry experience
- Required understanding of overall integrated circuit design flow
- Multi-domain expertise in EDA workflows and design methodologies
- Ability to articulate and integrate value across the full Siemens EDA portfolio
- Strong understanding of competitive landscapes and customer decision drivers
- Demonstrated ability to influence, present, and communicate with senior technical stakeholders
- Proven success leading customer-facing programs and cross-functional technical programs
- Willingness to travel (including international) up to 30% to customer sites and internal meetings

The salary range for this position is $167,200 to $334,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
