Hiring: Senior AWS Engineer

Location: Owings Mills, MD 21117 (Hybrid with 2 days onsite)

Duration: 6+Month Contract

We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting enterprise-scale cloud applications and backend services.

If you have strong experience with AWS, Node.js/TypeScript, Java, and cloud-native development, this opportunity could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications
• Build and support AWS services including:
• Lambda
• Step Functions
• DynamoDB
• AWS CLI/Console operations
• Develop backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Work on system integrations and middleware solutions
• Analyze system requirements and enhancement requests
• Create technical specifications, test plans, and deployment packages
• Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and post-production validation
• Collaborate with engineering teams and provide technical leadership
• Support CI/CD workflows using GitLab and GitLab CI

Required Skills

✔ Strong hands-on AWS experience

✔ Node.js & TypeScript backend development

✔ Java development experience

✔ DynamoDB and serverless architecture expertise

✔ Middleware/integration knowledge

✔ HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience

✔ GitLab & GitLab CI/CD pipelines

✔ Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

✔ Experience working with large-scale distributed systems

Preferred Skills

➕ AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) knowledge is a plus

Qualifications

• Software engineering experience
• Strong understanding of:

• Algorithms
• Software Design Principles
• Experience with both legacy and modern cloud systems
