Reven AI
Remote
About the Role
We’re building the next generation of AI-powered accounting and sales tax automation for e-commerce and SaaS businesses.
Finance and compliance are still full of manual work, fragmented tools, and constant risk. Companies grow fast, sell across more states and markets, and suddenly they are dealing with nexus exposure, filings, reconciliations, and month-end chaos with no clear system holding it all together.
Reven AI changes that.
Our platform helps companies automate the finance and tax work that usually slows them down, from tracking exposure and managing compliance to integrating with the systems they already use and giving them real-time visibility into their business.
This is not a role where you wait around for detailed specs. You’ll have clear priorities and close collaboration with the team, but the execution is yours.
What You’ll Do
- Build the systems and product experiences that power Reven AI across accounting automation, tax workflows, integrations, and reporting
- Create tools that simplify complex financial and compliance workflows for operators, founders, and finance teams
- Work across the stack to ship features that directly improve customer onboarding, product adoption, and retention
- Build integrations with platforms like Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, NetSuite, and other parts of the modern finance stack
- Help design internal systems that automate repetitive manual work for both customers and internal ops teams
- Improve product reliability, data quality, and user trust in workflows where accuracy really matters
- Collaborate closely with product and leadership to identify bottlenecks, ship quickly, and solve real customer problems
Why This Seat
- Your work will directly shape the core product, not some side feature
- You’ll be building in a space where the pain is real, urgent, and valuable to solve
- Engineers here do more than execute — they influence what gets built and why
- You’ll see the impact of your work quickly through customer usage, internal operations, and product outcomes
- This is a chance to build in a high-value category where strong execution creates massive leverage
- You’ll Thrive Here If You
- Have 2–5 years of experience shipping quality code in fast-moving environments
- Are comfortable working across the full stack, with strength on the backend or product side
- Have strong TypeScript and React skills and can move fast without breaking what matters
- Like solving messy, real-world workflow problems instead of just polishing surface-level features
- Care about business outcomes and user impact, not just clean code in isolation
- Are energized by ownership, speed, and building systems that people rely on every day
- Hold a B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience at a startup or early-stage venture-backed company
- Familiarity with accounting, tax, fintech, or workflow automation products
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Experience building integrations with third-party systems and APIs
- Interest in e-commerce, SaaS finance, or compliance infrastructure
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary + meaningful equity
- Direct influence on product direction and technical decisions
- A fast-moving team with high ownership and low ego
- The chance to work on important infrastructure for modern businesses
- A seat at the table while building a product solving painful, high-value problems
Must-Haves (Logistics)
- B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field required
- Not a fit for people who want highly structured environments, endless planning cycles, or narrow infrastructure-only roles.
