Location: Addison, IL

Job Summary

As an Outside Sales Account Executive, you will utilize training and knowledge of Ziebell’s core customers and product line to develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales. You will be responsible for achieving annual sales goals by profitably growing revenue for both current primary and emerging industries and markets; This includes prospecting for new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with our existing customers.


Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site customer visits with new and existing customers. Manage sales volume with an existing group of customers and prospect successfully to expand the customer base.
  • Forecast, prospect, and bid for new business to include customers, markets, and additional service opportunities.
  • Maintain existing and build new customer partnerships. Develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers on all levels of an organization.
  • Share market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization; establish relationships and working partnerships.
  • Partner with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to quickly resolve customer service issues.
  • Identify customer product needs and coordinate execution of orders.
  • May conduct negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Assist in training or mentoring of associates.


Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Familiarity with the sewer, water main, or water service industry products and brands
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience selling in an inside sales environment and demonstrated success working with customers.
  • Experience with inventory sales.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual with exceptional time management and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong desire and ability to network, build relationships, and maintain mutually positive working relationships in appropriate related businesses and communities.
