Our client, a well-established insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Bilingual Insurance Account Manager to support Japanese corporate clients with Property & Casualty (P&C) programs.
This role is ideal for a seasoned insurance professional who can independently manage corporate client relationships in a consultative capacity, while effectively navigating both Japanese and U.S. business environments.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, overseeing renewals, providing strategic recommendations, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance.
The position requires fluency in Japanese and strong business-level English to communicate effectively with Japanese corporate clients, internal stakeholders, and insurance carriers.
Responsibilities
Client Account Management
- Manage and retain assigned P&C client accounts
- Lead renewal processes, including coverage reviews, negotiations, and adjustments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients
- Provide strategic insurance recommendations based on client needs
- Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Consultative Advisory
- Advise clients on Commercial Insurance lines (Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Auto, Specialty Lines)
- Ensure accuracy of documentation and compliance with applicable regulations
- Identify opportunities to improve coverage, cost efficiency, and risk management strategies
Client Relationship & Operations
- Maintain strong, long-term client relationships with a high level of professionalism and discretion
- Manage multiple accounts and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Support issue resolution and ongoing client service needs
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Fluent in Japanese with strong understanding of Japanese business culture
- Business-level English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening)
- 5+ years of experience in insurance account management (P&C preferred)
- Prior experience at an insurance brokerage strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of corporate insurance programs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- U.S. work authorization required
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000 – $72,000 (based on experience and role focus)
- Full-time, permanent position
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours
- Location: Cypress, CA (Hybrid)
