The Company operates Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world, and Specs Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to making computing more human, in addition to Bitmoji, Saturn, and other digital services.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, iOS to join Snap and build consumer-facing, Generative AI-first mobile products. You will create high-quality experiences for creators and help ship polished features at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Build and ship end-to-end features for iOS applications
- Create smooth, reliable, high-performance mobile experiences
- Partner with product, design, backend, and iOS teams
- Improve app performance, stability, and quality
- Contribute to technical direction and engineering best practices
- Strong experience building consumer-facing mobile products
- Deep iOS expertise, with a strong product and performance mindset
- Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working across teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
- Strong knowledge of UIKit, Foundation, Core Animation, and Core Data
- Understanding of runtime behaviour, OS internals, multithreading, and mobile optimisation
- Experience shipping and maintaining large-scale iOS applications
- Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native
- Experience with iOS performance optimisation
- Experience with C/C++, OpenGL, or Metal
- Passion for building polished, stable user experiences
