Software Engineer – Full Stack

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a collaborative Agile team. In this role, you will build and maintain modern web applications, working on both front-end and back-end development. You will create user-friendly interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue.js, while also developing APIs and services in Python.

This position works closely with developers, scientists, designers, and product teams to deliver scalable and high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, and Python
• Build responsive and user-friendly front-end features
• Create and support back-end APIs and services
• Work with GraphQL APIs and Postgres SQL databases
• Participate in Agile activities such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code
• Troubleshoot and fix front-end and back-end application issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Support software testing, debugging, deployment, and enhancements
• Help improve development processes and engineering best practices
• Explore new technologies and tools to improve products and workflows

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of full stack development experience
• Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with Vue.js or similar front-end frameworks
• Experience developing APIs and services in Python
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Postgres SQL
• Understanding of software testing and debugging
• Experience with version control and code reviews
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field
• Associate degree may be considered with additional experience
• Experience or interest in scientific software, research, or materials science is a plus
