NES Fircroft is partnering with a global leader in renewable energy technology to recruit a Key Account Manager Utilities, supporting the growth of utility-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and hybrid projects across the Australian market.


This is a strategic, client-facing role suited to someone with strong experience in renewable energy, account management, and business development who is looking to play a key role in shaping Australia’s energy transition.


About the Role


Based in North Sydney, you will be responsible for managing and growing key client relationships while identifying and developing new project opportunities across utility-scale renewable energy projects. You will work closely with internal technical, commercial, and executive teams to position the business as a preferred technology partner and drive strategic growth across Solar, BESS, and hybrid solutions.


Key Responsibilities Client & Account Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across executive, commercial, and technical stakeholders
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic utility-scale renewable energy accounts
  • Identify and progress new project opportunities across Solar PV, BESS, and hybrid solutions
  • Support commercial and technical negotiations with clients

Business Development & Strategy

  • Develop and execute account strategies aligned with market opportunities
  • Contribute to sales targets and revenue growth
  • Identify new clients and expand market presence
  • Support tender submissions, proposals, and commercial offers

Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and project pipelines
  • Provide insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Represent the business at industry events and key stakeholder meetings

Technical & Commercial Collaboration

  • Build strong knowledge across BESS, Solar PV, and hybrid energy solutions
  • Work with internal teams to align customer needs with technical solutions
  • Support technical and commercial discussions throughout project lifecycles

Internal Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineering, bid management, legal, and service teams
  • Contribute to bid preparation, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations


About You

  • Experience in renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong background in key account management, business development, or sales
  • Exposure to Solar PV, BESS, or large-scale energy projects highly regarded
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
