Junior Software Engineer

Hybrid 3 days onsite in Rockville, MD

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer (Full Stack) with a passion for building modern applications and an interest in Generative AI to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work on impactful solutions supporting regulatory workflows, data analysis, and reporting.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance full-stack applications using Angular, Java (Spring Boot), and Python (FastAPI)
• Develop RESTful APIs and responsive, accessible frontends
• Support applications used for regulatory workflows and data-driven decision-making
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automated testing
• Work with Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across data, security, and business functions

Skills:

• 2–4 years of software engineering experience
• Experience with Java or Python
• Hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript
• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Understanding of application security fundamentals

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Exposure to AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS)
• Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS)
• Basic knowledge of LLMs, AI/ML integrations, or Generative AI concepts
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, JUnit, PyTest)

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
