Position Summary
The Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial clients by delivering customized insurance solutions that align with each client’s business needs. This role partners closely with Producers to support sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and drive account growth while maintaining strong client relationships.
The Account Executive collaborates with underwriters, carriers, and risk management partners to assess exposures, negotiate coverage terms, and secure competitive insurance programs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial insurance, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned book of business while building, expanding, and strengthening client relationships.
- Retain existing business and drive growth through account rounding and expanded coverage solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to both key decision-makers and day-to-day client contacts.
- Coordinate with Account Managers, Marketing Managers, Client Services, and other internal partners to deliver optimal coverage solutions.
- Provide technical expertise through analysis of client risks, coverage forms, and insurance quotations.
- Lead and oversee renewal negotiations, including coverage terms and pricing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and intermediaries.
- Review and oversee insurance-related contracts and agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of commercial insurance experience.
- Risk management experience, including contract review and evaluation of insurance requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong client-service focus.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Active Texas Property & Casualty insurance license required.
