Full-Stack Product Engineer (AI-first Health Platform) – San Francisco (4 Days / Week onsite)

HUG is partnering with an early-stage, well-funded healthtech startup in San Francisco that is building modern infrastructure for a historically old-school industry. They are early stage YC backed, product-led, with real customers and strong early traction.

The role

• Full-time, hybrid in-person role in San Francisco (4 days per week in the office).
• Build new product features end-to-end across the stack (Python on the backend, TypeScript/React on the frontend or similar modern stack).
• Work closely with founders and early team to design, build, and ship customer-facing features on a fast, iterative cadence.

What you’ll do

• Own features from discovery and design through implementation, testing, and release.
• Ship production code frequently, with short feedback loops and direct impact on customers.
• Contribute to architecture, technical decisions, and engineering best practices as an early technical hire.

What they’re looking for

• 3+ years as a full-stack engineer, with experience owning features in production.
• Strong skills in at least one modern backend language (ideally Python) and one modern frontend framework (ideally React/TypeScript or similar).
• Comfort in fast-moving, early-stage environments and interest in improving how healthcare works behind the scenes.
