Software Development Engineering – Sr Professional II
As a Software Engineering Professional, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems, mobile applications, APIs, and platforms. Our team is currently embarking on a pivotal migration to the cloud, and your expertise will be critical in this transformation. If you have experience in cloud migration, you will find this role both challenging and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions using Java, Spring framework, and Spring Boot.
- Utilize tools like GITHUB, JIRA, and Docker to streamline the development lifecycle.
- Engage in Integration Testing of APIs using tools like Postman.
- Work on database solutions and integrations with Oracle.
- Design and implement full-stack solutions, focusing on digital, API, and micro-services.
- Play a key role in our cloud migration strategy and its implementation. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
- At least 5-6 years of experience in software development life cycle.
- At least 5-6 years of experience Webservice development – Rest and SOAP.
- At least 5-6 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies, Spring boot, Spring Micro services, Spring JPA, Spring Web flux, Hibernate etc.
- Must have knowledge of RDBMS - Oracle and NoSQL – SQL server/Mongo db
- Hands on experience in front end technologies – Angular, JavaScript, HTML etc.
- Experience and knowledge of coding and design skills with strong understanding of design patterns/ frameworks/ data models.
- Ability to contribute to architecture review sessions with inputs to architecture team through framework analysis, design patterns, prototype specifications.
- At least 3 years of experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements.
- Experience and understanding of in Production support and performance engineering.
- Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills. Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, Non-functional requirements (NFRs).
- Ability to contribute in complex design related activities apart from Coding, review and testing activities.
- Ability to do technical research and work on POCs.
- Ability to identify areas of Automation and implement using tools and reusable components.
- Ability to take risks in design, pushing past the obvious, and bringing user centric approach to design solutions.
- Experience working in and have good understanding of Development process like Agile, waterfall.
- Client interfacing for complex reviews and mentor the team on Technical Competencies.
- Experience in JIRA, GitLab, Jenkins is preferable but optional.
- Experience in splunk is preferable.
- Background in the payment industry.
- Experience with cloud platforms and API management.
- Skills with Apigee Gateway, and container platforms.
- Familiarity with quality and security scan tools like Sonar, Fortify, and Web Inspect.
- Hands-on experience in cloud migration strategies and practices.
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
