Lead Platform Developer

We are now looking for a Lead platform developer to join Hacksaw Studios in Stockholm. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining one of our high-performance real-time game platforms. You'll be the creative force developing new game features and solving real technical challenges that impact thousands of active users, collaborating closely with product teams, and helping ensure our game is fun, robust and ready for future growth.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Design & Implement Features: Build robust, scalable features for our C#-based game platform.
• Optimize Performance: Ensure code and data structures deliver high throughput, low latency, and reliable processing of thousands of transactions per second.
• Testing & Stability: Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests to ensure platform stability.
• Code Collaboration: Participate in code reviews and contribute to clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain clear and thorough technical documentation.
• Team Coordination: Work closely with peers and product teams to maintain architectural consistency and meet performance standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in C# backend development and real-time platforms.
• Solid understanding of WebSockets, SignalR and ASP.NET.
• Expertise in multithreaded programming and thread-safe design patterns.
• Proficiency in using the C# debugger for troubleshooting complex issues.
• A mindset focused on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other colleagues.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with automated unit testing frameworks.
• A university degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Interest in gaming, professionally or recreationally.
• Experience with front-end development.
