The Employee Benefits Account Manager plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional client experience and driving long-term client success.

We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing service delivery, renewal strategy, and ongoing benefits consultation across both fully insured and self-insured plans. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong client management skills with a solid understanding of benefits strategy and execution.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building strong, long-term relationships
- Lead the renewal process, including strategy development, timeline management, and client communication
- Partner with Placement Specialists and Producers to align on marketing strategy and positioning
- Translate complex plan options, pricing, and recommendations into clear, client-friendly guidance
- Present renewal strategies, plan options, and recommendations to clients
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of proposals and materials
- Oversee implementation and ongoing service needs, including eligibility, plan changes, and issue resolution
- Proactively identify opportunities for plan optimization, cost containment, and enhanced employee experience
- Maintain strong knowledge of market trends, carrier offerings, and compliance considerations
- Utilize internal technology platforms to support client strategy, reporting, and service execution
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 (based on experience) + performance-based incentives

Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of employee benefits account management or client-facing experience within an agency or broker environment
- Strong working knowledge of employee benefits products, plan design, and funding structures
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, renewals, and service deliverables independently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where processes are evolving
- Tech-forward mindset, including comfort learning and leveraging new platforms
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Life & Health insurance license required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing mid-market or large group accounts
- Strong collaboration skills with Producers, Placement teams, and leadership
- Ability to clearly communicate tradeoffs and guide client decision-making
- Experience in a growing or evolving agency environment
- Interest in leveraging AI and technology to enhance client service and operational efficiency
