- Apply knowledge of computer science concepts and techniques, mathematics, and methods of statistical analysis to develop software to perform acoustic signal simulation to the P-8A Poseidon Maritime Surveillance and Patrol Aircraft.
- Employ software integration techniques to bring together components to work as a whole system.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
- Update software or enhance existing software capabilities using C/C++, Java
- May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements
- May maintain databases within an application area
- Utilize DevOps tools in the Atlassian suite – JIRA, collaborate and conduct build management with Bitbucket
- Utilize Windows and Linux based assets
- Bachelors in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to develop and sustain software
- Willingness to participate in processes applicable to full software development lifecycle activities including requirements, design, development, integration and test
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux (preferably Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, or newer)
- CompTIA certification is highly desired; or must be able to obtain
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance is required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) Aircraft Weapons Systems and software processes a plus
- Knowledge of software containers
- Ability to develop software in a variety of languages, such as C, C++, Java
