Job Title: Senior Account Executive –HandbagsPosition OverviewThe Senior Account Executive –Handbags is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key department store accounts, and optimizing assortment and inventory strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of retail math, and proven experience in the department store handbag category.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow regular price handbag business within department store accounts
- Develop and execute strategic assortment plans aligned with sales goals and customer needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and internal cross-functional teams
- Analyze weekly and monthly store performance results to identify risks and opportunities
- Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets and recommend in-season adjustments
- Develop and implement sales & stock plans to maximize profitability
- Analyze sell-through rates and recommend markdown strategies when necessary
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock flow and minimize aged inventory
- Prepare and present business reviews, forecasts, and performance reports
- Minimum 5 years of experience in department store handbags
- Strong understanding of assortment planning, sales & stock planning, and retail math
- Proven experience analyzing store performance, OTB, and markdown strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel and retail planning tools
