Data Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Lead the design, development, and governance of an enterprise data and AI platform, centered on SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and SAP BTP.

• Architect AI-powered solutions utilizing SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, HANA Cloud, and GenAI/LLM platforms.

• Design and build robust data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow, and Spark, integrating with SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Optimize SAP HANA Cloud for real-time analytics and AI workloads, including advanced SQLScript and vector embeddings.

• Architect and deploy GenAI and ML solutions, including agentic AI workflows and RAG applications, integrated into SAP business processes.

• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including data quality, lineage, and access controls, and define Responsible AI practices.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• 15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or BI/analytics in enterprise environments.

• Minimum 3+ years of deep, hands-on SAP experience with BDC, Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, and S/4HANA analytics.

• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade GenAI or agentic AI solutions from prototype to production.

• Strong command of Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow/Spark, and SAP-native data tools.

• Proficiency with AI/GenAI concepts including LangChain, RAG, vector databases, and LLM platforms.
