Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of ELT pipelines on the Snowflake and AWS tech stack. This role requires deep technical expertise in SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, and end-to-end implementation of data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong Agile experience and a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance data systems in production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement robust, scalable ELT data pipelines using Snowflake, AWS Glue, S3, and other AWS services.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, and transformation logic.
  • Define and implement data quality rules, monitoring, and alerting for data integrity.
  • Perform performance tuning on Snowflake queries and pipelines to ensure system efficiency.
  • Lead technical design sessions and contribute to data architecture decisions.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
  • Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and documentation standards.
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and mentor junior data engineers.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a focus on ELT/ETL processes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (query optimization, performance tuning, data modeling).
  • Expertise in writing, testing, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Proven experience with AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and pipeline orchestration.
  • Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum methodology and experience working in iterative development cycles.
  • Proficiency in Git, CI/CD tools, and modern development practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Airflow, or other orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
