Data Engineer - FPT Software

Hybid or Remote (be available to work in the office based on project needs)

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines and data warehouse solutions on cloud platforms, with a focus on Snowflake.

The role requires hands-on implementation capability, ability to work independently on assigned tasks, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a global delivery environment.

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Design and optimize data warehouse solutions in Snowflake
• Build and manage data ingestion from multiple sources (DB, API, files)
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance
• Optimize query performance and cost usage in Snowflake
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and stakeholders
• Follow coding standards, data governance, and security practices
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Support deployment, monitoring, and documentation

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning)
• Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Strong SQL skills
• Proficient in Python (or similar language)
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g. Airflow, dbt, ADF, Glue)

Solid understanding of:

• Data warehousing concepts (Star schema, Snowflake schema)
• Data pipeline design & optimization

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt / modern data stack
• Knowledge of data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis)
• Snowflake or cloud certifications
• Exposure to Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
• Experience in Agile delivery model

Soft Skills

• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
• Good problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team collaboration mindset
• Supports junior members when needed
