About The Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Turning Machinist to join our client’s manufacturing team on the second shift. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with some of the most advanced machinery in the industry, including DMG and Dmg Mori Seiki. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining CNC vertical turning centers, with a focus on precision, quality, and safety. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, applying GD&T principles, and troubleshooting machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the production process, collaborating closely with team members to meet production goals and uphold safety standards.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Machinist within the manufacturing sector. Proficiency in operating and maintaining DMG and Dmg Mori Seiki machines is essential, along with a solid understanding of GD&T principles and their practical application. Candidates must have expertise in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, and the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve machinery or process issues efficiently are critical. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate effectively within a diverse production environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, with additional certifications or degrees in related fields considered advantageous. A demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards is also essential.
