Senior Software Engineer

What is the position?

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on AI to build and integrate intelligent features into a production SaaS platform. This contract role is highly hands-on, centered on turning AI concepts into scalable, real-world product capabilities that enhance automation and user experience.

What are the responsibilities?

As a Senior Software Engineer , you will:

• Develop and deploy AI-driven features such as intelligent automation, recommendations, and copilots
• Embed LLMs and machine learning capabilities into existing systems and workflows
• Assess and implement AI tools, APIs, and frameworks suitable for production environments
• Partner with product teams to convert business needs into practical AI solutions
• Build and support backend services that enable scalable AI functionality
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency of AI components
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, especially around AI integration
• Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce AI without compromising system stability

What are the requirements?

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering within SaaS or cloud-based systems
• Strong backend development skills (experience with Ruby and/or Golang preferred)
• Proven experience integrating APIs and working with distributed architectures
• Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML solutions in real applications
• Solid understanding of system design, data flow, and performance tuning
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL-based systems)
• Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices
• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (Azure or similar)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills, including explaining technical AI concepts to non-technical audiences
