Marketing Manager
(Pernik, Bulgaria)
Your Mission
Reporting directly to the GM of Bulgaria, while having a dotted line of reporting to Regional Marketing Director, you will take ownership of product management and communication regarding all the ingredients that we produce. You will also work closely with our sales and food technology teams to help with the growth of our business. In addition, you will be involved in activities of other departments as well in order to help deliver our strategy.
What You Will Do
Manage and execute all marketing activity in line with 4 pillars:
- Product
Define the range structure for key products in the portfolio
Ensure all products / brands have clear and relevant proposition and price positioning
Manage product projects including new launches, portfolio reviews and benchmarking
Work with head office and the R&D team to define and manage short-, medium- and long-term product focus and innovation pipeline in line with Puratos UK strategy.
- Communications
Build corporate image as a reliable partner in innovation by driving thought leadership and other high-quality content
Ensure comms messages align with Group communication
Manage all comms for your focus business units: Sales tools, advertising, PR, social media, direct marketing, trade marketing, sponsorships, events.
- Market intel
Inspire the sales, marketing and technical teams to work closely together to ensure innovations, finished products and concepts are based on consumer insights.
Collect, analyse and present consumer insight for NPD and ad-hoc research.
- Customer
Engage with stakeholders at customers and provide marketing support, including relevant project related consumer insights, and taking the lead in driving category management.
Department activities
Distributor marketing
Own and execute the distributor marketing plan working with the marketing and sales team to agree focus products, adverts and promotions.
Competitor analysis
Be the team’s competitor expert, tracking and researching competitor activity, getting input from the sales team, in order to monitor risks and possible impacts on strategy.
Market analysis
Review of the size of the ingredients markets and understand the current market share in order to review performance vs strategy.
Event support
Support the marketing team with events such as Taste Tomorrow.
Budget
Ensure spend is monitored and in line with budget agreed by the Marketing Director.
What We Expect From You
- Relevant prior experience within marketing
- University degree in Business and/or Marketing. CIM or MBA preferred
- A metric focused and data-driven personality
- Excellent copywriting skills: product descriptions, digital copy, press releases, blogs, editing/proofreading
- Strong project management and organization skills
- An understanding of direct response advertising including Google Adwrds and Social Media lead generation
- Able to communicate in an engaging and professional manner and build relationships
- Self-motivated individual, able to drive projects autonomously
- Able to resolve complex issues in a reasonable and logical manner
- Good marketing knowledge (theoretical & practical) and up to date with the latest developments in the field of marketing
- Able to travel locally and internationally
- Full product training will be provided so knowledge of the products is not necessary but an interest in ingredients, the bakery category and in particular sourdough is essential.
