Main Purpose of the Job
This dual role involves overseeing the Salesforce platform’s strategy, governance, and operational excellence, ensuring it delivers value, remains scalable and secure, and aligns with enterprise architecture and business priorities. Additionally, the role includes researching AI technologies, developing proofs of concept, and supporting AI-driven solutions to address business needs.
Key Accountabilities
Salesforce Platform Owner
- Own the end-to-end Salesforce platform roadmap, vision, and backlog aligned with business strategy.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT application teams, delivery teams, and Salesforce.
- Gather, prioritize, and translate business requirements into platform capabilities and technical specifications.
- Oversee Salesforce configuration, customization, integration, and release management.
- Define and enforce platform governance, data standards, security controls, and best practices.
- Ensure platform stability, performance, and adoption while meeting SLAs and compliance.
- Manage platform enhancements, technical debt, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with architecture, data, security, and integration teams for seamless enterprise integration.
- Provide guidance on licensing, environments, and platform scaling decisions.
- Partner with business and technology teams to identify pain points suitable for AI solutions.
- Research emerging AI, machine learning, and automation technologies relevant to use cases.
- Design and develop AI proofs of concept (POCs) to validate feasibility and value.
- Evaluate POC outcomes and provide recommendations for go/no-go decisions.
- Collaborate with the AI Tech team to align POCs with enterprise standards and strategy.
- Document learnings, findings, and technical approaches for knowledge sharing.
- Transition successful POCs to delivery teams and conclude involvement post-decision.

- Up to 3 years of experience working with Salesforce or similar platforms in a platform owner or senior technical/functional role.
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations using APIs, middleware, and enterprise systems.
- Experience with building LLM-enabled or AI-enabled applications.
- Strong learning agility and adaptability to new technologies.
- Innovation mindset with curiosity for applying AI and automation.
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and prioritizing demands.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and backlog management.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with operational needs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Product Owner).
- Experience with Azure AI technologies.
- Exposure to DevOps tools, release pipelines, and environment management tools.
