About the firm
A market leader in automated financial markets since 2008, the firm pioneered fully automated NLP systems to read and interpret financial news in real time. The team is a tight-knit group of quantitative researchers spanning 9 nationalities, a mix of PhDs and MScs with expertise in statistical analysis, mathematical modelling, and machine learning.

The role
As a core member of the Quant team, you will build and own the infrastructure that transforms massive unstructured financial datasets into production-ready inference models driving real-time trading decisions. You will work across Python, Kubernetes, Ray, and Airflow, with short feedback cycles and direct impact on the direction of the team.

Key responsibilities
* Design, optimise, and mature infrastructure supporting distributed model training and experiment tracking
* Build and automate robust data pipelines for dataset generation and feature engineering, including data version control
* Develop internal Python tooling to support smooth team interaction with ML systems
* Build a feature store with definition and automated generation, and transition to a structured table-based dataset store
* Implement automated testing, CI/CD, and real-time monitoring across the ML lifecycle
* Improve model deployment workflows with a focus on latency reduction, reproducibility, and fast iteration

What they are looking for
* Strong CS fundamentals: data structures and algorithms
* Solid Python experience across data preprocessing, ETL pipelines, and distributed systems
* Experience with out-of-core datasets and production ML environments
* Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark, Ray, or Dask
* Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Some exposure to strongly typed languages (C#, C/C++, or Rust)

Nice to have
* Full ML stack experience with a strong MLOps foundation
* Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, or CatBoost
* Familiarity with algorithmic trading concepts
* PhD or MSc in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics

What is on offer
* Competitive salary with pension and health insurance
* 30 days holiday
* Modern office in Copenhagen (Nordhavn) with flexible hybrid working
* Flat hierarchy, high autonomy, and genuine ownership of your work
* Fast feedback loops with no red tape
