About the Role
As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you will manage an assigned book of personal lines insurance accounts, including auto, homeowners, renters, and other related policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned book of personal lines insurance accounts, including auto, homeowners, renters, and other related policies.
- Provide exceptional day-to-day client service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues with a warm, solutions-oriented approach.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
- Educate and advise clients on coverage options, policy features, and risk management best practices.
- Partner with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure favorable client outcomes.
- Review policy documents for accuracy and completeness before delivering them to clients.
- Maintain accurate records in the agency management system.
- Identify opportunities for account rounding and cross-selling additional insurance products.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and fellow team members in a cooperative and supportive manner to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- State insurance license (Property & Casualty) required or must be obtained within a specified period.
- 2+ years of experience in personal lines insurance, agency, or a related field preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, positive environment.
