We are currently seeking for a Sales Account Manager to join our Business Travel Division. The jobholder will oversee a portfolio of assigned accounts and liaise with Business Travel Teams (Corporate Travel, Meetings & Events), to enhance the entire client experience.
Your Role
The Sales Account Manager will be accountable for managing and growing key accounts by maintaining and building strong relationships with customers, generating leads, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for maintaining relationships with high value clients and understand their needs/preferences
- Develop and implement medium to long-range sales plans for existing clients and/or new ones
- Collaborate with company’s key stakeholders on growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts (AmEx Global & Local)
- Increase client engagement and maintain high levels of client retention
- Prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with existing clients
- Identify and manage interactions with assigned group of existing clients to identify areas of improvement and repeat sales opportunities
- Resolve problems and ensure clients receive high quality of service
- Review and report on client retention, business opportunities, and market trends
- Serve as the primary (local) point of contact for American Express Global Business Travel
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements in alignment with company policies
- Lead and coordinate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) whilst represent the company in client meetings, proposal presentations, and follow-up discussions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Travel & Tourism, or related field will be considered as a prerequisite
- Prior experience in the travel & tourism industry will be preferred
- Demonstrated experience in account management, marketing, sales in the service sector will be considered as an asset
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
- High level of professionalism, excellent negotiation skills and ability to exceed sales targets
- Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Team player, proactive, creative, able to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to successfully resolve client issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English. Knowledge of additional language(s) will be highly appreciated
