Software Engineer

Pay: $120,000- $140,000

Redefine Meals is a fast-growing healthy meal prep company based out of Long Island, NY, with 23 retail locations and counting! We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and work directly alongside upper management!

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and optimize our database
• Enhance and manage our website
• Be an Integral part of the full stack of a multi-location meal prep operation — from POS integrations to order management
• Work directly with management to scope and ship features that affect 23+ retail locations
• Identify and fix bugs
• Improve operational efficiency
• Develop and implement new solutions to scale our business

What We’re Looking For:

Strong experience with databases, backend development, and debuggingAbility to work on-site and collaborate with upper management

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and innovation

Growth mindset with a drive take on big projects that can scale

Technical Skills:

Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, VueBackend Development: PHP, Laravel, Database Management: MySQL, RedisBug Fixing & Debugging: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficientlyAPI Development & Integration: RESTful APIs, third-party integrations (payment gateways, delivery services, etc.)Efficiency Optimization: Code refactoring, automation, and improving system performanceVersion Control: Git/GitHub for collaboration and tracking changesSecurity Best Practices: Protecting user data and preventing vulnerabilities

Data Analytics Management: Organizing, developing, and managing key data points using Tableau

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and ability to work alongside upper managementAbility to analyze business needs and translate them into tech solutionsProblem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to improving efficiencyAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

General well rounded IT knowledge (Hardware, Network, System Design, Architecture, etc.) is a plus
