We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Application Development team. This role is located in New York.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Consult with internal business groups to provide highly advanced application software development services and technical support.
- Develop well-designed, testable, and efficient code for both frontend and backend systems, including integration of software components into fully functional software systems.
- Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites; maintain software functionality and currency by managing technical debt and gains.
- Apply security and privacy principles, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior engineers while educating business leaders on IT strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree is beneficial.
- 14+ years of experience in software development; experience in the securities or financial services industry.
- Hands-on knowledge of frontend and backend development, including proficiency in C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript, application frameworks, and containerization.
- Intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases, architecture design principles, and multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
- Experience consulting IT and business managers on complex technical issues and selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies.
