Job Functions And Responsibilities
In this role, you will help develop and implement software for:
- Communication and networking protocols in challenged environments
- Command and control interfaces, simulations, and visualizations
- Acoustic, signal processing and autonomy algorithms for subsea sensor systems
- Acoustic payloads for subsea and surface autonomous systems
- Autonomous maritime surface and subsea systems
- MS or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, ocean engineering, applied math/physics, or a related technical discipline, with 5 or more years of related professional experience
- Experience supporting and partnering with senior technical staff to develop innovative technology solutions that meet customer/user needs
- Ability to contribute to and lead complex technical tasks at a detailed level
- Fluency with C++ or Rust in a Linux environment, and modern software tools (git, Docker, etc.)
- Strong understanding of software design and user experience (UX) principles
- Excellent communication and interaction skills with project managers, IPT leads, and customers
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
- 10 years of professional experience
- Background in autonomy, networking or communications theory, maritime systems, or experience with US Navy undersea warfare leadership and operations.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical programs, including scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, and accountability for deliverables.
- Experience contributing to and leading programs through various stages along the technology lifecycle, from science and technology to research, development and deployment.
