We're hiring a Consumer Underwriter to join our in-house underwriting team at Octopus Electric Vehicles. The role involves managing credit and underwriting processes, reviewing credit escalations, and owning underwriting decisions for clients. We're looking for someone with experience in credit assessment and underwriting, knowledge of credit policies, and familiarity with automated credit decisioning platforms.
Requirements
- Willingness to get hands on with processing and evaluating credit applications ranging from consumer to larger corporates
- Ability to interpret credit application information - e.g. accounts and KPIs provided by clients
- Experience working in a hands-on credit assessment & underwriting role
- Knowledge of credit policies
- Familiarity with automated credit decisioning platforms (e.g. Lending Metrics)
- Experience in vehicle leasing
