Accounting Lead

WA Technology is a B2B supplier of iGaming solutions seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to join their team. The role involves taking ownership of daily accounting tasks, ensuring financial records accuracy, and supervising a Finance Assistant.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior accounting role in a complex business environment
• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CPA or equivalent) or in final stages of qualification
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience managing month-end close processes independently
• Experience with VAT submissions and tax reporting (primarily in Malta)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Business Central (accounting software)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function
• Ability to work effectively within a wider finance function and cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English - both written and spoken
